The only differences between the XR6T and the XR8 (other than engine & weight) are gear ratios and the XR6T can't have the heavy duty tow bar optioned..... just noticed that the recommended fuel is different too. Only ULP for the XR8. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/1095-xr6t-and-xr8/page/2/#findComment-11910 Share on other sites

And XRt listed as using both. Speaking of which, I see Ford have finally updated their site... Now opens with the Fairlane & the 4 wheel drive thing... What is it, a Honda CRV, or an X Trail or similar? Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/1095-xr6t-and-xr8/page/2/#findComment-11912 Share on other sites

From what I read of it, it has similarities to the Ford Escape. Aussie built...Ford have decided it's what it needs to keep the Australian presence justified with the movement away from the traditional family sedan to the soft-roaders/Toorak Tractors/Gladesville Graders that are more prominent on the roads today.
