Marketing influences

If I have a bit of extra cash I buy "raftman" an imported canadian beer only available occasionally... well from my local bottle shop anyway... at $29 a six pack it really only is bought OCCASIONALLY.

I've got a bar fridge that's built into a pseudo-antique cabinet. As I designed it myself, I'll add a photo.

But, the shelves of the fridge aren't adjustable. So, my favourite local beer, Southwark Premium, won't fit on the bottom shelf, but VB will as it comes in shorter bottles, so that's what I buy.

Guess that makes it obvious I'm not a truly dedicated beer drinker - much prefer a nice red.

This is my little work in progress. I'm rebuilding the part of the bar with the fridge in it(obviously not shown in this picture). I hate having to go out in the cold to get drinks, defeats the purpose.

The only decent Aussie beers are:

Boags Premium, Cascade Premium, Hahn Premium.

All the other beers like VB, Tooheys, Crown Lager, Hahn Ice etc. taste almost identical.

Crown Lager is the biggest rip off since it comes from the same batch as VB,

just from the top of the barrel or something!

If I want to drink some good beer I choose any of the three I mentioned.

Otherwise I usually just buy a 30 pack of Hahn Ice or Toohey red for $26.

Generally drink Stella because it's on tap, but I'll buy Crown Lager to drink at home.

When I'm in Tassie I only drink Boags or Crown.

To quote a band from eons ago re the likes of "Artois" ( ArrToIss) in the late eighties. "Taste like Piss but at least it's dear" . Anyone know who ?Mind you the Stella is not bad on tap.

Only 2 real beers for mine both Boags 1st Strong Arm Bitter, 2nd Premium Lager

I just give Kirsty a call and she brings me home a carton of whatever I want! Neither of us have had to pay for full strength alcohol since she started at ALM....

The warehouse she reps for is bigger than the parts warehouse I work at! And I distribute Ford and Toyota parts!

I just look at the bar at work and ask the bar girl for what ever tickles my fancy. If I just point and nod I get a Johnny Red and Coke.
