Gday

Just wondering, when I get my new fg is it worth putting a turbo timer on it.

Or is this just rice burner wank.

The boss will probably not let me modify the car so do I need one.

We sell them so cost is not an issue.

Any comments to let me make an iformed decision would be appreciated

Cheers

Timmy

With them having ball bearing turbos you don't really need a turbo timer but some say its still advised, but if your really worried about it just drive off boost for a few minutes before you reach you destination or just sit in your car for a minute or two then switch it off. That's what I do and its allot easier and cheaper then getting a turbo timer.

A turbo timer does exactly what you describe in the latter part of your post... Lets the engine run for a minute or so in the driveway. They can be had for as little as $50 now so cost isn't the issue, they're just not necessary if you don't thrash the balls off it all the way into your driveway then turn it straight off. Drive the last minute or 2 of your trip normally & all will be swet :tonguepoke:
