I think you will find the lack of manuals posting quick times is because most of the modded cars are auto as it is only recently Manuals were proven tougher. Auto's are also better for lazy racing "drags" as all you need to do is pull up and wait for the green light then floor it

I am sure that any manual v the same spec auto with a good driver, will win as they have better control of the takeoff. I can launch my car on full boost with none, little or alot of wheelspin. Auto's seem to be pot luck when you wind it up on the stall and then lift off the brake.

I guess I am just a control freak :spoton:

I'd have to disagree with you Zap. I think for consistant launches the auto is much better. Load it up to 2000rpm let go of the brake and old on. It doesn't get any easier.

Geea. :w00t2:

xlr8ed> You didn't read much of what I said did you? Geez I love getting you guys wound up :crybaby:

ms700> We all knew it would right from the start eh? Just a mater of time ...

xr6ikness> You're right, I remember that now. I stand corrected. That must be a freak car Matt has - most autos are getting around 14.3 in standard form and manuals 14.1 or thereabouts. Good for him though :spoton:

And for everyone who thinks my (off the topic) comments were serious you guys should really lighten up a little ...

TURBO6MAN, I would like to think that the pilot had something to do with the 13.8.

OK OK OK I am a gumby driver and the car is a freak :w00t2:

Yep, I quess it must be true 'cos everyone here (well, almost) is saying so ...

What are they saying do I hear you ask?

Well, they are saying that if you can't drive properly then the auto is quicker ...

Luckily for me I can drive so I know that the auto driver (of an unmodded T) is NOT going to keep up with me.

:censored::msm:

6 man that IS a big call to make. :o

have to agree with whitetree,

Um especially when your avatar states you drive an xfturbo we are talking about Ba xr6 turbos.Dont want to be rude but I beleive you would be more qualified if you actually owned one.ps there are alot of people that drive manuals that think they are good at driving them not saying you are and not saying your not.

From now on, whoever starts a "manual v's auto, which is better" should be automatically locked and deleted I reckon! :censored:

Nothing ever gets resolved. It just provokes more arguements. Nobody has proven whether a auto is better than a manual or vice versa.

The question cant be answered.

Id personally rather see "which is better, spirits or beer for hangovers".....

Vic from C&V drove a customers manual T with 320 rwklw at WSID and the best time he done was a 12.9 yet you have auto's such as GEEA and WHITETEE with about 270 rwklw running mid to high 12's

Isn't the best cure for hangovers to keep drinking?
