I am new to this forum and I don't know much about cars, but I do have a Company Lease XR6T car.

I joined this forum because I've encountered a similar problem on the weekend while driving up a hill and the car lost power, I sh*t myself at the time thinking that maybe I had blowed the turbo (told you I know nothing about cars). I wasn't paying attention the REV meter (probably at around 5000rpm) and not sure if this happened if it was due to the fact that I've hit the REV setting limitted by the Limiter.

Does anyone know why this has happened? or where the problem is.

Also, I had once started my car at night, then it won't start for after 10sec, then it started, but I feel like the car was running with 5 cylinders or something... not enough power and loud noice (like I havea hole in the exhaust). Then after driving it for 500 meters, I pulled aside, turned off the engine then re-started (I work in the computer support field and thinking of I do a 'Cold Boot' maybe it may fix the problem), to my surprise...... the problem has gone away. Has anyone come across this problem?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Anon

Yeah I've got that problem... the most recent software update has made it happen DAILY instead of once in a blue moon....

Not happy....

A.

Daily? That sucks! Did you bring it back to the service department? and if so, what did they say?

Have seen a few come through with "Waste-Gate" fault codes.

Had to replace the sensor on one last week.

Hope this helps......

Can you be more specific? What sensor were you referring to? Thnkx.

I now am getting to the stage where I regret buying the T... I have

- a wife who never wants to drive a ford again

for a car that I was looking so much forward to owning it has been nothing but a nightmare....

I will now try to get these issues sorted so that I can at least half enjoy the car until I am in a situation where I can get rid of it and be financially in a situation where I can buy another decent car.

Sorry for the late reply, didnt notice this thread till now.

I know exactly how you feel, I was so looking forward to this car, and have been let down big time.

I have had a better new car experience with my 20k pulsar, and I wish I never bought the Turbo.

My wife hates the car from a financial perspective. It's cost over $2000 out of our own pockets for hirecars, taxi's, etc.., not to mention the amount of money spent re-tightening the handbrake every week or two, and the fact it's a $50,000 car doesn't sit well with her either.

She'll never own a Ford, and she'll do her best to make sure I don't either especially since a new car is meant to be safe, and is meant to protect you, not kill you (which it's almost done 4 times).

Things are looking better though, the dealer I am now with is making the car bearable till the day I am in a financial position (like yourself) to get a decent car.

I'll never forget the excitment when I first picked up the car, all the times I washed it, polished it, spent 6 - 10 hours cleaning it every weekend for the first month or so till the car gave me more than enough crap..

Now I think the last time I actually washed him myself was about 3 months ago and that was only cause I was doing a wedding.

I just don't give a crap anymore...

aaaaahhhhhhh, finally someone who understands  Yep same thing, I have made some headway now, and believe that they (ford) are now making a genuine effort (thanks). However the car will never live up to its expectations from the purchasing perspective (first new car ever, not a good intrduction to the new car world).

Regardless, I am still highly excited about the headway I have made with ford, and am really looking forward to getting most isues sorted out (the new transmission has arrived :kissmy: ) and driving a car that is as close as possible to what I thought I was buying. I say "close as possible" as I believe they will still Ignore the driveline shunt.
