ubyte Member 108 Member For: 21y 4m 17d Posted 21/05/04 01:58 PM Share Posted 21/05/04 01:58 PM MMM more then likely the reason the air bags didnt employ would look to be due to the cars main point of impact being a sudden stop while going backwards.I'd dare say the car was going like a rocket at the time and for some reason the car was forced into an understear situation. By the look of the photos it was a right hand turn spin. The other bits of damage where simply objects collected through the spin.Although the damage looks bad, I'd hazard a guess the car come to solid stop going backwards doing somewhere between 40-60kms. The broken front drivers seat gives this away too...On a positive note the cars back seats look to be relatively intact. Unlike a SS setup which would have the middle seat explode outwards in this type of impact. A design feature!I reckon the driver would be relatively shaken and probably stired! There's quite a bit of stuff they can salvage. Chasis probably stuffed and a few panels, but theres plenty more left. Had this been a SS they might as well fired up the furnace and melted it! ubyte Member 108 Member For: 21y 4m 17d Posted 21/05/04 02:22 PM Share Posted 21/05/04 02:22 PM I must admitt, the guess work is from unfortunate personal experience and the photos showing similar tell-tale signs. Any accident investigators out there?

Spun out of control, rear ended into a pole or tree perhaps and then impacted the front into something else. Who's our resident accident investigator? oouuucccccchhhhhhhhhhhh.Looks like the Pearl Blue demo I nearly bought from Titan Ford at Melville in WA. Thanks Simon I will never exceed 100 kph again, how would one explain that to the assessor. Still if the occupants had seat belts on they probably walked away with little more than sh!tting themselves.
