For instance if the manual BA TUrbo can get around 10.1 on the highway, would you get 750-800 from the tank if you ran it dry? Also - does the unichip upgrade tend to improve economy a tad. Some of you must have one!

With this apparent descrepancy in mind I'm not game enough yet to run the tank down low to try and find out.On the other hand though I would assume the utes to be a bit thirstier then the sedan so you would probably get the same range out of a full tank anyway.I've only had my T for a couple of weeks, so maybe others would be better positioned to answer the question so I shall shut up and move on now!Trent. You can always drive that to the last 5km or so.I used to fill my Fairmont up at 2km left, and put in 70L to the 68L tank on a number of occasions! So who knows!Trent.

Guest Scootre Guests Posted 22/05/04 02:47 AM Share Posted 22/05/04 02:47 AM Scootre,I have reset the trip metre a couple of times and it always ends up close to the 13L/100. I thought maybe the gauge was bit buggered but it seems bout right for the couple of times ive put petrol in the tank. I've watched it on the setting where it shows what L/100 is being used instantly...and that's up and down like a yo yo. Not too hard to get that sucker over 50L/100  Well mate I have no idea how you're doing it. But I average 16.4 and have never been under 16.2 in mine and that was during school holidays when the drive to work was an easy 30 mins instead of the usual 55min. And that includes about 10km of Freeway.I do recall other discussions on the forums ages ago about how people were finding their trip meter was out by about 1litre/100k when they did manual calculations based on the amount of fuel they put in the thing. When I did mine that way over about 5 tanks in a row, the trip meter was saying 16.5 and the calculations revealed 17.3.But 13..... that's bloody brilliant. Since I've got back, it's gone back up to the normal 18 or 19l/100km.It will be very interesting to see what I get on my next 600km trip in a couple of weeks Lightning.....
