Wow. It looks sooooo good! I'm glad I got that colour now!

After much colour indecision, I ordered a Blood Orange T on a Friday afternoon only to have my dealer called me on Monday morning to tell me that BO had been deleted and I'd have to pick a different colour. I was pretty pissed off! I went back to square one and looked at all of the colours again but this time the sales guy brought out the little colour swatches showing the new colours like Envi and Mandarin.

I must have been at the dealership for about an hour, walking around the yard looking at the different colours in the sun and the shade from every conceivable angle, trying to imagine what the colour would look like on a car. I couldn't decide so I took a gamble and went with Mandarin because it was the closest to my original colour choice. I have been wondering if I made the right choice ever since UNTIL TODAY! Wow! What a hornbag of a car! :spoton:

Glad the photo's have been able to put peoples minds at rest! The photo's dont do the colour full justice but the basic look is right! The dealer saying its like a colour that changes colour depending on where the sun is. that's about right! Always looks orange but has that real gold shine in the sun! I pick it up on friday if all goes to plan! The mods will be done on friday night! hehe

Great colour harasn and change over. You must get better resale for XR6's than XR8's.

That colour reminds me of Fanta. Yum.

why you say I get better resale on an XR6 than an 8? I am not a V8 boy so dont want an XR8, besides the 6's are better cars!

fizzy fanta is probably a good description! should pick the car up on thursday or friday! can't wait!

I hope you don't expect a good change over price as the change over will now cost you at least $5000 if you are lucky. The best I was offered was $5000. There are so many BA's in dealers yards that resale values have dropped through the floor and that applies to all BA XR's. You think that with a 21% discount you could at least get what you payed for them. My first XR only cost me $400 to change over.

As for the new color I saw one in the engine plant car park earlier in the week and wasn't really impressed with it. It looked pretty dark and dull in the early morning light, although it would have looked better in full sunlight, but how often do you drive around with the sun blazing especially this time of the year down here.
