Hi Everyone,

Last night I decided to company a friend of mine in a Nissan Skyline R33 at a Dyno Facility in Padstow, I took my XR6T down as well.

It was 8:30pm and the dyno was going to get switched off at 9:00pm so I was eager to get my car on the dyno, eventually after my mate tuned his skyline I went straight on it in my XR6T...

Lucky me, 2 of the Domineli Ford Service guys and manager was there and he asked me if my car was completely stock, I said yes it is completely stock. He goes great I would love to see what you car does and they dyno'd it for me.

WE put it on the dyno......

First run...... 205.4kw rear wheels

Second run.... 204.1kw rear wheels

Third run....without air filter+airbox open + fan hitting air box... 187.3kw rear wheels

Fourth run....BOV off with air filter IN 191.4kw rear wheels

Interest to see what other people got if they dyno'd their XR6T stock standard? COMPLETELY STOCK!.

Thanks to Ian and George from Domineli Ford who helped me dyno my car last night! You guys are champs.

I have the charts, I will scan them ASAP and post em up.

Whats your thoughts guys?

What he asked. If it was in shootout , 205 rwkw stock is still pretty damn solid.

You gotta goodie mate..............now mods ?

More runs = more heat soak. Dyno runs these days dont mean much unless cars were run on the same dyno. You can see 20Kw difference easy with the same car and different dynos. Even more.

the dyno figures where run right after another, I dont know what gears.... also the my T is manual. I do have some plans for mods. In a few weeks, I'm hoping to put on the Exhaust, Air Filter (still puzzled on this), BOV....anything more im just asking to void warranty.

More then likely it was Shootout mode and it was in 4th gear........my T was dyno'd in the same way and produced 202.5rwkw so your figures sound about right.

PS SXR6T have you thought about which BOV to fit. Ive fitted a GFB Stealth FX in mine, fits straight on :)

Sounds like it's on the high side but there are far too many variables at play to allow a direct comparison with any other dynos conducted on different days and different conditions with different cars. It'll serve to give you a comparison if you now modify anything and can run again on the same dyno under as near as possible the same coniditons. SR71 Blackbird waxed lyrical about this issue in a thread buried somehwere on this site and Pete at APS likewise.

What do you intend doing with all this discovered power now....that's the more interesting issue?
