Guys,

Can anyone give me some thoughts on replacement brakes (or kits) that work?

I have had my rotors replaced/machined every 6000km, and I now have 30000km and it's ready for another ford "fix".

I want rid of them (which I don't think is unreasonable) and am now looking for a full replacement.

I'm happy to replace the rotors, pads and even fluid, but for obvious reasons I'm reluctant to replace the calipers (unless I'm told otherwise)

Any thoughts (personal experience, real fix) would be fantastic.

Thanks

I'm upto 8,000k's with no shudder yet but I get a little scared when I put my foot on that pedal and it feels spongy.... then I do it again and the car then starts to stop. Also the pads dont last very long when u do some 'sporty' driving...they just dont stop the car. :pinch: I'll be upgrading as soon as this house is sorted out. :w00t2:

there are a couple of options I am personelly looking at twin spot AP calipers replacement rotors braided lines calipers rear disc etc $2,700.00 approx or try PBR option at http://www.pbrsports.com.au/ these I believe are modded corvette caliper designed to fit falcon commodre etc. Brembo's or alcons are also an option but are expensive. Cebco do brembo's all round for $5,000 to $6000.00 ugh! you can also get the FPV spec brakes from PBR as well I believe.

Yeah yeah Vik - go ahead and gloat. The current pads will last me well for as long as I need them to. But at the time when I bought the car the extra 3k couldnt be afforded....it still cant be afforded. :spoton: I wanted the premium sound more....at the time ... and will do the brakes.....eventually :pinch:
