Just to be clear, I am talking about your most recent ride.

I personally am changing from a Holden, but would (and have) chosen to change to what I think is currently a better vehicle for the price.

I had a Mitsubishi Mirage before i bought the XR6T. I was contemplating buying a Jap car ie WRX or Skyline, but was reading the Sydney Morning Herald Drive section one day and saw that a Turbo was coming out. Went straight down to City Ford to get more info, noone knew anything.. a week later they had the info and mine was ordered.

Ive driven Ford's most of my life.. AU, Laser's etc. But I believe i have made the right choice with the BA. I think its an excellent car, fantastic to drive and looks good too! (the minor hiccups aside - like the bonnet cable).

I think somebody suggested a pole like this just resently didnt they. :P

Me i was always a Holden man but i'm pretty open minded so the choice was pretty easy for me.

you don't have my category aniken.

It is "no preconceived leanings to any car make"

My previous cars were Holden, Ford, Holden, Holden, Ford.

So it is now 3 all, the only consistent is Aussie made.

No question that Expensive Daewoo have some catching up to do before my next car.

I might get a Expensive Daewoo next you never know, 2006 Monaro?, 2006 Falcon XR8T?

I have had 2 Fairmont Ghias before the XR6T, a Toyota Cressida before that and a mixed bag from Alfas to Mercs to Mitsubishis to Passats to Celicas but NEVER A HOLDEN, hmmm closest one is a Chevorlet Impala when I was a kid. Just never got around to buying one.

oh yeah - WORST CAR EVER category was a 1986 Ford Telstar Ghia - brand new - went back to the dealer 100 times. Once I was reverse parking the crappy thing and the front wheel fell off. After getting it towed to City Ford got home and a recall notice was in the mail saying that the front wheel may fall off. grrrr - Swore never to buy a Ford again. The sware lasted 10 years. Got one now though.

My bloody two sons got my arse in the turbo. They did a lisa and Bart job on my missus, got her to test drive a BA xt and she liked it. They got me to test it, to slow for me but nice car so we ordered a XR6T. I didnt even bother to test drive the turbo becuase I knew it would be bloody good. (Not that they had one to test anyway)

Another Expensive Daewoo convert here. My current ride is a VX Berlina which I picked up second hand to tide me over until I bought an SV8 or SS in 2004. Then the VY series came along and my respect for Expensive Daewoo suddenly plummeted in a serious way. Coincidently Ford just happened to release the most kick arse series of Falcons of all time the same year, so it didn’t take much to convert me to Ford! Even before I had heard of the turbo I was considering an XT for its superior power, comfort, handling and style.

My first ride in the turbo was supposed to just be for fun, but of course I got seriously hooked and I ordered one a month later. I'm making some serious financial sacrifices to get this car but I believe it will most definitely be worth it B)
