Member 192 Member For: 21y 4m 13d Location: Melbourne Posted 14/05/04 02:58 AM Share Posted 14/05/04 02:58 AM Hey guys,Have had the following happen twice this week, just wondering if anyone else has had it or I am just lucky !When overtaking vehicles on the highway, I generally give it a squirt to stay on the wrong side of the road as short a time as possible.Twice this week it has dropped power at 4000 rpm (Like traction control coming on, or hitting the rev limiter) The first time I had it floored, and thought, I must have hit a slippery bit ? But this morning I had the throttle only down about 50% so wheelspin is not an option ! Plus this time I looked at the traction control light and it was NOT flashing !4th gear at 4000 rpm is somewhere around 140KM/Hr which is where it has happened.Anyone else had this happen, or have any ideas ?Thanks Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/10725-limiter-coming-on-early/ Share on other sites

If you are just running 'ordinary' ULP and not 'Premium' this might be a reason. Hey Pretzel, it wouldn't matter how many gears you gave Cro as he would still find the limiter in top I think you may be having the overboost problem and the dealers are aware of it and how to fix it so just keep going back until they do Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/10725-limiter-coming-on-early/#findComment-122478 Share on other sites
