While getting my daily news fix via email found this over at news.com.au

A SUPER ute that could have rolled off a science-fiction movie set will be one of the stars of the Melbourne Motor Show.

The $300,000 Raptor is being prepared for its debut when the show begins at 5pm on Friday at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.

It is a one-off concept car, which has been built by Autotek and Hillier Conversions, and features gull-wing doors that can be operated by remote control.

The team took a Ford Falcon XR6 ute, modified the body, fitted side radiators and designed and built the special hydraulic doors.

It took about 1400 hours of labour and was only finished last Friday.

Ill try and get some pics of it at the melbourne motor show. It sounds great.

In the herald sun they Today they were talking about it being a 450kw twin turbo six, and they are going to take it out on the salt lakes to get the speed record. Suddenly the XR8 ute ads don't seem that far fetched. The other great thing is that it is a great promotional tool for Turbo 6 fords without Ford having to do much at all.

The photo on the front of the Herald Sun cars guide today was great with the gull wings up and some seagulls flying in front of it. Makes even more sence when we recall that the turbo 6s codename was seagull.

And my copied posted on FF:

It's not realy that much of a strech for the Hilliers to come up with this concept considering there main trade are hearses, it puts a completely different perspective on where the idea's and technology for it came from dont you think.
