Tomorrow morning I am getting a new Cd player installed and have been told to purchase a spacer pocket ( from Ford ) for the gap that will be left when my crap broken seized again Ford CD player crap thing is removed. :kissmy:

Ford tell me there is no such thing, yet the CD installer keeps telling me there is.

Is there such a thing? Before I go back to Ford and argue with them.

Thanks :ermm:

Try sending an e-mail to Mick (MS700), he should be able to tell you for sure.

PM me if you haven't got his work e-mail (probably wont work doing it through xr6t.com, his work blocks most e-mails that aren't work related)

Hey miss xr there was a pocket type bin used on the likes of the au taxi packs that had only the small head unit in them this was on the au 1 only.

Yes it is available as a Ford spare part - I did have the number but have lost it sorry. You may be able to pick one up on the wrecker's hotline - there has to be some series one AUs about the wrecking yards. I just put my UHF CB into the space that was left beneath my single DIN head unit. It ended up looking like this...

:spoton::spoton::censored: what he said.......

I will look up the part number tomorrow Ant, but by reading your post I could be too late. Ford definately still sells the part you are talking about, we sell heaps to ex Taxi's.

I'll SMS you when I get to work and let you know the part number and how much coin you will need. From memory it can be installed after your new wireless is whacked in! :spoton:

They are from AU series 1 (that's what you gotta ask for and will definitely fit an au series 2/3). I started a thread on another forum and a guy had got one for his series 3 futura. He said it was only like $13 or so. :spoton: take piccies ant! good luck with it

I have one of these pockets at home that was in my AU11 fairmont. I pulled out the factory 6 stacker and installed an Alpine head unit but when I traded the car in on my BA I reinstalled the factory unit.
