After removing the black dust spacers several months ago, I got sick of looking at the rusting rotor hubs.

Today after spending $10 on some black high temp brake caliper paint and about 2 hours of my time, I painted them.

I must say, they look heaps better, it's how Ford should have done it from the factory!

There was some discussion on this a day or so ago in this thread.

Its a good idea for anyone removing the black pizza tray.

I removed my rotors before painting.

Easy to get off, just two bolts holding the calipers on and the rotors come straight off.

Saves you getting paint on the hub bolts as well.

Cut a circle out of an old pizza box (template), placed it over the hub and sprayed away!

If you want to do it on the car you would need to lift both back wheels off the ground to enable you to turn the wheels.

removing them all together.. that's a good idea (but could I be bothered) :)

LOL.. my lazyness is my downfall.

you wouldn't happen to have any pictures of the bolts where you have to remove them and also the tools required.

and do you need to disconnect the brakes or require bleeding etc?

Cheers,

Matt
