Guys,

I just had a conversation with Ford about the issue. Obviously they are unwilling to admit there is a problem, stating that all is within normal tolerances, and that it is a characteristic of the vehicle.

I asnswered that if it was a characteristic of the vehicle, why isnt it stated anywhere in the manual. She couldnt answer.

Bottom line is they dont give a stuff. They have already sold the vehicle to us and we are stuck with $50,000 + new cars that sound like taxis.

Unless we are willing to take legal action, I dont think they are going to budge. I reckon everyone with the problem throw in $100, and we should get legal advice.

Hey guys there seem to be so many people affected by this driveline shunt (fingures crossed I havent had it happen yet), and Ford don't seem to be doing jack sh*t about it. So have any of you sort an aftermarket solution such as stregthening/upgrading any of the factory driveline components. I know it sux to have to pay for something that should be covered by warranty but I was thinking more bout you phase 2 and 3 fellas who have to do substantial driveline upgrades to run the higher output engines reliably.

im getting the same problem.

service manager advised it is a characteristic of the car and to ride the clutch a bit longer.....that's right folks told me to ride the clutch abit longer. he said that me and my partner need to change our driving habits in order not to hear the clunk.

used to be my dream car, now its becomming a nightmare!

:iagree:

I got in in my auto.

I'll sign whatever, do not give a crap about it though as I know it wont get us anywhere.

I'm about 90% sure my next car will not be a Ford, unless they do something drastic to fix the issues in series2 or typhoon.
