Closeup of the new "optional" 17's, I guess I will not make the same mistake twice.

Zap that's a load of crap! the XR6/XR6T come with 17" alloy wheels standard. The dealer you went to is a dick then! you don't have to option the wheels because its a standard feature on the car. Ask for the normal wheels and your $1500 back!

Glenn,

I am happy with the deal.

It cost me $499.95 for the option and I ended up getting a good deal as they really tood a hit on my tradein.

While they know I was not happy, I signed the order and I do not really want to be worked up over 500 bux that is leased over 5 years.....

How about 6 Winter White XR's in a row.....wonder if the cops have placed a new order :k24t:

If your happy with it, then don't be too bothered. You got yourself a nice car there

I know what you are saying, but I got a good deal at the end of the day.

I did get different 17" for the $500, if they were the same it would be different. I got them to throw in 4 XR mats, and they will look after me with mods and service.

At the end of the day it is not worth the hassel if I feel I got a good deal overall.

I bet I have the only XR6T with these wheels :spoton:

Awesome pics Zap!

Just a qn... in one the photos, where the traction control button normally is.. there is a blanking plate there?

Is the button somewhere in the new luxury pack interior command centre? I can see some different buttons down the bottom? (I think they're buttons)

Im curious as I got mine on order! Hope they havent deleted your traction control!!

Nah they haven't deleted it, the fairmont/ luxo interior package has it under the air con controls. Its one of those 4 round buttons :gooff:

l would love to see some more pics, but your optional wheels look pretty good mate

l love the interior, another kick in the guts for resale on all the people who paid the premium for a GT-P as the only way into a sports/luxury BA. Was the sports steering wheel an option, or part of the luxury pack?

Cheers

Just to let everybody know ... I purchased my car from the same dealer as Mal (ZAP) and from 1 May this year Ford has the optional 18" wheels as a no cost option. So mine cost nothing to option up to 18" ... not sure if this is only with the Luxury Pack though so best to ask if you are ordering :)

Cheers ... Jason.
