well today I had to pull the gearbox out after running 330rwkws it decided that it had enough it started to wine pretty bad after some hard runs. after I pulled it out I found the input gear had worn on only a third of its contacting face and also third gear was worn the same. has anyone else heard of this

Hi badxr6

I havent done anything with it yet its still in the car, the noise isnt getting any worse. Im going to pull it out in 2 weeks and will probably get the Mal Woods T56. How long did yours last with the extra power? What are you planning to do with yours apart from find a good place to bury it

Cheers Frank

I have seen two so far. 330rwkw seems to be the magic figure at the top of the life cycle curve. (zero life).

I guess Ill be giving you a call soon, does it take long to get a kit ready? Maybe if we went to 328rwks it would have been ok  sh*t happens

Reflecting my technical ignorance about gearboxes, but I thought torque was more the issue than the rwkW? Yes/No?

Any layperson explanation would be much appreciated. :pooh:

Safe and happy driving...Dr Z. :pooh:
