I just love the look of it, but im concerned that it wouldn,t match up properly with the side skrts that already exist on my car.anyone got any ideas? Guest JESMAL Guests Posted 25/02/03 02:37 AM Share Posted 25/02/03 02:37 AM I'd say YES. It would fit coz the body structure of the GT is pretty similar to the XR8 which does not differ much from the XR6T or XR6 NA. So if you are able to get the GT front bar or rear bar, it should fit like a glove. But again, I may be wrong coz I don't own a BA, from what I've seen, it sure looks like it'd fit. I dont really want to fit the whole body kit. and the gt side skirts look a bit different to the xr6t's. anyway anyone good at photoshop that would be a great help!!! Guest JESMAL Guests Posted 25/02/03 07:42 AM Share Posted 25/02/03 07:42 AM That's what I thought when I had the TS50 side skirts and rear bar fitted on my AUXR6....I had serious doubts but lucky for me, it turned out friggin good! But for your case, I'd suggest getting the GT side skirts too coz the XR sides are different, more curvy...the GT ones are flatter and the same look runs around the front bar to the sides and covering the rear bar. I reckon you'd have to change your rear bar too if you want a consistent look.
Guest matchew Guests Posted 25/02/03 07:47 AM Share Posted 25/02/03 07:47 AM I have heard on the ford forums that you cannot purchase fpv parts unless you have proof of ownership of a GT GT-P or Pursuit ute.that's from a gt badge to a gt front bar. Makes sense to me.
Guest JESMAL Guests Posted 25/02/03 07:54 AM Share Posted 25/02/03 07:54 AM You're right Matt.....I'm waiting for my Turbo badges and the dealer is trying to scam a set for me coz I don't own a BA..... :D They said the supplier wants a sido number before they allow the badges to be released. But for the case of bodykits, there's always Bogan special ...they'll supply high quality aftermarket kits...can't tell the difference at all! If you want to bastardise a car, go buy a VW and put a rolls royce front on it...{end of rant}
