Hey guys,

Just wondering if any of you have got the intercooler resprayed under warranty due to paint flaking off as it's a fairly common problem?

And if not, do you reckon they'd do it? It looks so crappy. If they wont do it I might have a go at getting the paint off it..... :crybaby:

Thanks,

Glenn

I remember seeing very similar pics posted by others here.  I remember at least one or two of the guys here mentioned they got new paint under warranty.

It's heat related yours or stone chipped?  I doubt the latter would be covered under warranty.

its a shocker eh,

Well I doubt its stone chipped as that photo was taken when the car was only about 6 weeks old. Also there are no stone chips on the bumpers and the car is driven mainly in the city.

It might be a bit dark but I'll see if I can grab another shot... :banghead:

pisses me off lookin at it. especially when you washed the car and it stands out so much

I reckon you should take all the black off and leave it silver. :banghead:

It will stand out like dogs b@llz.

I reckon itwould look really good but it would be an absolute bithc to get the paint off some spots, and I wouldn't have a clue how to pull the friggin thing apart hey! :w00t2:

Bored tonight, Glenn?

Every time I've popped into this thread over the past few hours, I see you've been here... waiting for anyone to reply. Well I don't think there's much more for anyone to add about stripping or painting an intercooler...

So go do something interesting... like take your old man's XR for a spin. :banghead:
