After all these years neither I nor anyone I have ever met in NSW can work out what the Qld'ers saw in Joh. :w00t2:

Well that's why he got elected in Queensland and not a state that is known for Rational Thinking....or just plain thinking....

Neither can most Queenslanders!

He was the sort of person that called a spade a shovel - arguably achieved alot for Qld but not in a "friendly" manner.

So Lumper , what is that you have to say about the Kennnet years in Vic,or interestingly enough the espoused virtues of the Kerner era??or the influence of Jo in QLD ?

Similarly without these state leaders, arguably things realtively speaking could now be vastly different for each of these geographies.

What is ambiguity ?

Kennet? Kennet was a capitalistic, advantageous pig with little regard above the almighty dollar, that and selling off public infrastructure to private companies and sacking as many employees as possible.

Kirner...Meh. Haven't looked much into her end of politics.

And Joh, well I suppose that if I was premier I wouldn't have the guts to go out to Mt Isa and say to all the mine related people "Vote for Me, or I'll cut off your power" so at least he had a bit of brawn, though no brains.

Didn't even understand the seperation of powers, though neither does John Howard or Bob Carr or any of these other meddling $125,000 PA leeches....

That is why a vote for the Lumpen Proleletariat is a vote for AnArChY (in it's true and purest form) :)

Ever hear of the Jerry Mandate? Only needed a few votes each time once that went into place.

27 years in power shows he knew what he wanted & how to achieve it. Not that I loved him but it was amazing that he able to stay in power years after he'd lost it. Poor old dude being supported by all those fruity old farmers.
