The last pic shows it exactly its like the bonnet is extended and not equal to the guard end. Quite interesting.

Guys not sure to the extent of how many BA's have the bonnet slightly longer than the gard. But to be honest panel gaps were never a Falcons forte, for that matter an Australian car. If it comes out of the factory like that then I would just live with it. Trust me theres other parts of the car that if one looks closely is not 100% spot on. I always take the theory of if it's not 100% from the factory when it gets repaired it wouldn't look so bad unlike a euro car where it's perfect from teh factory and after repairs it won't go back to 100%.

Overall I can say that that teh Falcon has improved over the years.

Guys , the bonnet is longer to maintain the long slow curve. It has to be like that . imagine no gap put a bit of firm cardboard as a strait edge and youll see what I mean. If the guard panel went any longer that would make it very pointed ,sharp.

I agree with vik351 - the bonnet overhang is exactly the same on mine. IMO it is meant to be this way. If you draw a line around the bonnet edge across the gap and along the guard, it is a nice smooth arc. Just as Mr Ford designer meant it to be.

I'll post the pics later :)
