The Porsche Boxster has 204bhp, weighs 1250kgs and does 0-100 in 6.7 sec. I hardly find that impressive for a car that costs so much. Sure it has good handling characteristics and build quality but the GTP would have to be a smarter buy with money left over for enhancment goodies.

Boxster S different story.

If you like Porsches, I've got a mate who wants to sell his '64 beetle, no I really do have a mate, honest.

I know this topic will get alot of people critisizing me ie, "this is an xr6t forum not gt ect" I am general just wondering what people would rather out of the porsche or the GTP

It just so happens that one of those ragtops pulled up at a set of lights next to me on the Canning highway mon afternoon :w00t2: . I don't know how they would run against a standard car but compared to my GT I will say the Boxster is all piss and wind, at least to 120kph it is, I easily pulled 10 car lengths on a, still widening, gap. My answer for what its worth is, definately a GT-P. :spoton:

I voted GTP because I dont really like boxter only because their a two seater.

Remember people buy new cars like the boxter because they can and in most cases speed doesn't matter.

I heard a funny story the other night.

A guy with a near new Boxter S auto was mouthing off about his car and how wonderful it was. A security guard, hearing conversation and knowing the bloke (a lawyer) said that the car parked in front was a 12sec ford and would kick his arse. Apparently a friend of the owner of the Ford and the bloke in his Boxter had a few runs on private roads (of course) and as would be expected the Ford blew the Porche away. (the Porche Boxster S auto has a 1/4 time of 14.5 sec.) The Porche bloke was quite embarressed and was muttering about know one told him it was a turbo and modified. He was told though, it was a 12 sec car he choose not to believe that bit.

Good story, dont you think.

Geez Geea, the stories you hear in the line of tit duty.

You would even have been able to relate to that one being the owner of a 12 sec Ford yourself :spoton:
