Last night comming home from a nice drive ACT - Cooma - Brown mnt - Bega - Batemens Bay - Clyde - Home, I hit a bloody fox.

I always tell people never to drive country at night with high beams, after I hit the roo I though I learnt my lesson, but stupid me, I had my high beams on cause I was blinded by a couple of 4WD's with spotties who didn't dip...

Fox came running out from left side, hit, flew over to right side gutter on the Kings Hwy 20kms from Queanbeyan.

Pissed me off bigtime.:bye: :o

This time I stopped so I could kick the sh*t out of the carcass...

Bumper is cracked down the bottom in the middle, left foggie was broken, drivers foggie is pushed in, and that black plastic under the bumper is cracked as well.

Again this happened about 50kms from home...

Damage isn't too bad, I'll post some pics that I took with my XDA later.

I'll leave it till I get my tax return cause I got better things to spend $$$ on than my insurance excess at the moment.

Moral of this story, DONT DRIVE WITH YOUR HIGH BEAMS IN THE COUNTRY!!

Jeezus Christ! I can't leave you alone for 5 bloody minutes. Sorry to hear mate. Maybe you should have done the Pambula run after all.

Cro, what can I say bad luck mate. Why do these bush creatures repeatedly decide to attack Gadan completely unprovoked. I feel some better luck for you is long over due.

Cheers

I hope the Fox is OK cro, your car is a magent for dramas. If I lived near you I'd not park anywhere near you for fear of a Contageous spread.:bye:

They say it comes in 3s...maybe next time you'll hit a cat

Well I've actually hit a cat, a german shepard (both in my old skyline), and now a Kangaroo and a fox in Gadan.

So it looks like I've gone from small to big and back down to small. Hopefully should be over now :D

Bummer dude, looks like Ugly is well named at the moment!!

Reminds me of our old bass player, he was only 19 and driving his mum's work AU. He hit a roo on the Cotter road and it was a bummer. Couple of weeks after they got the car fixed he was late for a gig in Weson. He hit a roo on the way to the gig!!! Boy was he spewin'. :pinch:

I hit one at 120 just passed Cambelltown coming home years ago. Smacked up the drivers side of the front of the car and missed the radiator so I made it home. Guard would scrape the tyre at speed but I had a look and there was no danger so kept going at 110, chewing bits of tyre as I went. Boy that pissed me off.
