I think you're right on both accounts, Peter. :B):

Bugger I wasn't planning on going back to Calder so soon either.  :smilelove:

I think I had better wax the front to try find those couple of 10th's.

I've met Mick and he's a great bloke so I don't mind handing my title over to him. I know the feeling when you first enter the 12 second club and Mick would be feeling pretty good right about now.

Again, well done Mick. :glad:

Well at least we have kept the title in Melbourne (where it belongs) we will have to see what the interstaters can do now. I will put the sheilds up now, I can feel a barrage of flack comimg my way!

AHHH, My 12.5 secs of fame

Thanks heaps for everyones replys and congrats, I think I've answered all questions below.

Cheers,

Mick

Awesome figures - if not for an upcoming trip o/s, I would be in to see Pete as well. Is there anyway of knowing what the 0-100km/h time would be?

I've had a mate in the car timing with a stop watch. We got around the 4 sec mark for 0-100km/h. But I would take that figure with a grain of salt.

Big Mick, If I'm not wrong that is the quickest time ever for an xr6t on street rubber...

Funny enough whan I was lying in bed last night trying to get to sleep (as I was finding it hard to close my eyes with such a big grin), I was wondering the same thing.

Geea.

Thanks for the kind words Craig. When I got the slip saying 12.9 I nearly went deaf in the car I yelled that loud. I actually considered going home at that time because I had achieved what I had set out to do. When I saw the 12.5 slip, I couldn't believe it and was actually quite!

Great time big mick, what sort of power are you running and what boost and did you warm your tyres up or did you just go straight up to the line

                        GOOD STUFF    JEFF

My car made about 186rwkw standard and about 267rwkw after the APS Stage II

was fitted. I don't have a boost gauge fitted yet, but I believe APS state the boost for a Stage II is between 10-12 PSI. Peter will correct me if I'm wrong.

Regarding warming the tyres up, I did a short feet on the brake and accelerator at the same time for around 3-4 secs and then went straight to the line. There would have been little if any smoke from the tyres. I've never been one to sit there and smoke the sh*t out of street tyres prior to a run.

APS fitted the trans cooler, sought of behind the front bumber. This allows me to fit the larger intercooler without interfrence at a later date. I'm told the bumper had to be removed to fit it, although I'm not sure if this would be the case if you didn't care about the likely interference with larger intercooler.

Big Mick, were you on factory rubber last night? Impresssive time if you used the stock tyres.

Peter

Yes Peter, Stock 17" Dunlop SP3000's. They had exactly the same air pressure in them as the day I pick up the car at the dealer. I DID NOT drop air pressure to get these times. I have never even checked the pressure in them, although I going to.

I might have to have a chat with Ian at Amberley and see if they can tune 3/10's out of the car. :pooh: I think that if the car is real cold it could go close.

Geez Mick, you certainly are making it hard buddy. :crybaby:

Geea. :glad:
