Has anyone lowered there xr6 and kept the standard shocks in the car?

Just wondering if the ride was still good, or do you have to change the shock to. This works well on the SS and wondering if the same for the xr's

Lowered with standard shocks still feels great.

I used king springs.

Lowered mine with king springs and standard shocks ride is fine and its made the front of the car better balanced. I went for the L on the front and SL on the back

I lowered mine with King springs on standard shock, is good. Drives fine all over town, just gotta know to take it slow and at an angle. If you take some driveways front on even a standard XR will scrape. So, if you're scraping, slow down and angle it!!

I just replace the spring's at 1st "King springs" Ride was ok but the shocks did not like working at a lower height, after a while at high speed the car would bounce all over the place "Stranded shocks are not to be lowered as I was adv by ford tech guys". So I replaced the whole lot with koni sports and king springs and the difference is amazing  it worth replacing the whole lot in the end as I have learned. :w00t2:

Does anyone else have a problem with bouncing at high speed? I normally would have replaced everything at once as that's what I have done with my other cars, but I want to spend the extra cash on a phase 1.
