No, I'm hearing that there will only be an AUTO ... no manual gearbox. I've heard the same thing. Five speed auto only. There appears to be so much $hit flying around about this car I have given up trying to work it out. Just wait till September and see...

Then again, if it was a T5 they would have lost it as well. I bet there's some blokes over at FPV that subscribe to all these threads and piss themselves laughing everytime they see a new post. Probably their equivilent to our Joke of the day thread.

No auto. Can anyone verify this? This is correct. Manual only until the six speed auto is ready and that may take at least another 12 months. I can't believe a salesman actually told the truth. The current auto will not handle the torque and it wasn't worth upgrading it if the new auto is not far away.

Guest Guests Posted 07/09/04 08:34 AM Share Posted 07/09/04 08:34 AM Looking at the pics, it seems to look very close to my interior, not flash enough for the money. Sorry F6 lovers. We all know FPV is still holding back on the F6, if the F6 had a 350kw donk how would FPV ever sell a 290 Boss GT again. Its all a bit sad they don't just go all out, and test the waters and see if theres a market out there, may be just a small run of say 50 or so F6s at 350kw. At leased that would shut the Blue oval haters up for a bit. Without a Turbo or a fat cash injection the 4L donk is only a work horse. FPV could make the F6 so much more, they need to push the power up on all FPV units if only to make the starter button look less of a toy.We the owners have shown theres still more in these 4L bricks, its time FPV or even Ford used the power but instead they choose to hide it.There would have been no problem with a BA II XR6 N/A at 200kws or the XR6 Turbo at 250kws or 255kws (and how easy would that have been for Ford to do). When you can come close to the Turbos power with the N/A with a computer, a good set of pipes and one or two fun bits bolted on, why arn't the turbos at 270 in a stock XR6, we all know the turbo with a cheap computer mod runs about that so whats Ford F'N thinking, why hold back all the time are they scared to leave Expensive Daewoo behind.......Sorry everyone, I need a beer.
