if money was no object, it would be a Mclaren F1 LM, it is the worlds fastest production car, reaching 391km/h, getting there in about 3sec...

but hey, they are around $700,000 and I wonder how much parts are for it and where to get them from

If I had $700K for a car I'd buy a helicopter :spoton:

..... Would that make it a "copper chopper?"

You can get '99 model V-Spec GTR's for arounf $85k and above. They are an AWSOME car, but I do not think I could drive around in something that I am always fearing for my safety in. There are many stories of people being followed home and the getting home invaded and beaten up just for their car. I would only have one as my weekend racecar.

A GTR?

No thanks

An M3 or a Porsche would be much better value car in terms of reliability, power, handling and resale if one was to spend 75 to 80 on a car. An E36 3.2 M3 is an easy buy for 50k + if you know where to look.

I agree with VG though

If I had the money I would have to have a Huey/Iriquois or a Jet Ranger helicopter oveer a car anytime.

Actually Plonky I dont agree with your comment about Handling and Performance.

I saw a video with a GTR, 350Z, M3, S2000 and Boxter. It was a track in Japan where they had pro drivers do 5 laps, the GTR was the camera car for the first 2 laps. After the first 2 laps, the GTR took off and left the rest for dead, then the 350 came in, then the M3, then the S2000 and finally the Boxter.

Judging by that incident, id say the GTR can outperform the majority of cars on the track..but then again, this is only one insident and im sure driver/track conditions will play a large role in the above results.

$700k wont get much of a Jetty these days, be better off with a brand new R44. Whilst we're dreaming of choppers, how about an EC120? Much nicer than the 206.
