MS700, you are probably one of the people to ask. The Barra 182 conrods are up to the task aren't they?

Dunno! Im using Eagle rods in my XC, but that's a totally different motor.

There's only one way to find out! Seriously, the good thing about supercharging, is the power is fed in more gradually, so in a way its kinder on components.

Keep in mind, if a rod does let go, a new complete short motor is only about 1500 bucks. Cheaper if you buy through me! :spoton:

I dont reckon you will have any problems as long as you keep the boost at sane levels. My neighbour Vortech'd his XR6 (EL), its still going real strong, its now got over 100,000 klms on it. Completely standard motor. He runs 8 psi. And he is making 258kw.

Hope this helps! :spoton:

Yeh, I reckon your mad even thinking about supercharging when its way more economical trading and getting a turbo.

For supercharging the standard rods are fine. With supercharging you wont be getting anywhere near the power needed to bend the standard rods.

that's the same as saying your mad for buying an xr8 when you could buy the xr6T cheaper. If you want it do it who cares about the cost.

Free world, we spend our money as we see best fit, but I bet ya would be mad if a XRT6 blew away your XR8 at a traffic light duel just after you had been boasting to your woman in the passenger seat as to how quick your XR8 was!!!

Dont know exactly, but if we ordered it through stock order, could probably slash a coupla hungee off. Stock order generally takes a week, maybe a week and a half. Dont quote me though!

Any particular reason for asking Scotty? :spoton:
