that's a help and this rod my be all you need for a majority of situation depending on how heavy it is. I wonder whether it comes with a fully floating pin. I will look at pricing and work out how economical it is. If the standard rod can do 500rwhp with good reliability, this one might be able to do 600+. Time will tell.

I'm using forged H-beam rods, as used in the rebuild by Nizpro.

Looks like an Eagle rod. Do you know BCL?

Sorry, I don't know.

You could try asking Simon at Nizpro.

They do look similar to rods advertisied in a lot of mags.

It seams a bit strange that they didnt use the LPG rods in the T from the start - I doubt it would have cost them a lot extra.

Does anyone have a pic or whatever of the LPG rods? I wonder how much stronger they are compared to the normal rods and how much weaker they are compared to aftermarket ones like the Nizpro?

maybe the rods were not available at the time the T was released. The series 2 might have these rods.

That'd be a suprise. Not without a huge torque increase!

I guess if it aint broke dont fix it!

I havent heard of anybody braking bottom ends in their T let alone in the modded cars, obviously their is a point of failure as with any engine (connecting rod) but 550 flywheel horsepower is bulk power :k24t:

You may be surprised. We have had two with big power bend their rods. But hey, don't think it is merely the more powerful engines that can break rods, we have in fact seen a number of stock engine throw rods out the side.
