APS Power/Torque/Price numbers

Previously had the original phase 1 which was just the unichip resulting in 189KW at rear wheels.

189rwkw Stage 1 APS WTF????????????? :spoton:

That's a T's standard out put with some even in the mid 200's!

JB I think the 189Kw must be a typo, as you say most auto T's produce between 175 to 185 kW stock.

Mate if I was going around sandown at full noise in a APS phase II T, I would just bite the bullet and install a big set of brembos, I reckon you will be out of brakes by the 2nd lap,

I with Him, :spoton: been ther done that, the T's brakes handle about 6-8 proper hard applications then your day is over

I would install them after Phase 1 let alone 2 :spoton:

Think your right Pete, 189rwkw - 272rwkw for stage 2 is a fair jump, those numbers don't add up :spoton:

Thinking of installing Brembo Brakes I go with John Bowe profesional course, excellent value usually a couple of warm up laps then timed for 4 then a couple to cool down then into the carpark for 10 minutes just driving around to let my standard brakes turn a normal colour instead of blue. As Brembos are awfully expensive (approx $6000) can you reccomend an alternative.

:w00t2: Sorry guys Stage one was 229 standard was 189 but I love the 273 at phase 11 the standard brakes did last 30 laps at 8000 kilometres but drove home in manual (no brakes) Think I will go Brembo

Yeah I have seen many a car miss turn one, it gets pretty ugly from there on in, best to invest in a good set of brakes for trackwork..............make sure you let us know what times you manage to lap sandown in, good luck and make sure you keep it on the black stuff.

Thanks for your confirmation, I thought you must have made a mistake, though 189 at the treads is quite good power for a stock auto T. :censored:

You will have to come out to calder one night and give the beast a run, and see what time you can put down for the quater mile, all good fun and meet some of the other forum members.

I certainly will let you know, I hope to achieve 1:28 or less but I am still investigating brakes, Brembo are probably the answer but very expensive, however I am prepared to pay for the right results, that is why you look after my car.

Any suggestions on tyres on hopefully a dry day? (currently std Dunlops)

Last effort was 1:34 without chip (standard BATXR6) so I really need all the help I can get now with the 273 @ rear wheels to get times down and stay on the track with the ability to stop.

Thanks for your interest
