aps Member 1,505 Member For: 21y 9m 23d Posted 03/06/04 02:36 AM Share Posted 03/06/04 02:36 AM Thanks Pete, but would you be able to arrange a suitable drivetrain for this vehicle? I have no interest in chasing around for a gearbox here or a diff there, I would just want to give you the car and, pick it up done and really, apart from checking the oil, etc I have no interest in lifting the bonnet. Do you third party the drivetrain for customers at all?. It must be an auto Anyway Cheers RobHi Rob, No problem we could build the entire car for you, including the Engine and drivetrain. Do you want a ute or sedan? If it has to be an Auto, we do have an Auto trans option in mind. RegardsPeter

But thanks for replying and I will follow the project and costing with extreme interest. This would be the car I've alway's wanted but would have to rule out at a certain $$$ level.Anyway thanks again PeteRob.
Guest Hasco Guests Posted 03/06/04 03:09 AM Share Posted 03/06/04 03:09 AM Just had phase 2 done by Peter on auto BATXR6. Previously had the original phase 1 which was just the unichip resulting in 189KW at rear wheels. I have just paid $6066-50 which includes a credit for the unichip abd had the valve springs and auto done. APS Dyno now gives a figure of 272.7 KW at rear wheels. Can't wait to get BATXR6 to sandown for a few laps after I upgrade the brakes, last time went through a set of pads in a day approx 30 laps using 49 litres of fuel per 100 KsTime without any modifications 1.34 lap Car now fliesHasco

Guest Hasco Guests Posted 03/06/04 04:36 AM Share Posted 03/06/04 04:36 AM Thinking of installing Brembo Brakes I go with John Bowe profesional course, excellent value usually a couple of warm up laps then timed for 4 then a couple to cool down then into the carpark for 10 minutes just driving around to let my standard brakes turn a normal colour instead of blue. As Brembos are awfully expensive (approx $6000) can you reccomend an alternative.

CMon Hasco, I am a track man myself and like you thoroughly enjoy the thrill it provides, however motorsport is motorsport so come along and support the club, meet some of the guys, we don't bite (well Geea does, the rest don't) It would be great to support the forum.
