Dr Z Member 378 Member For: 20y 10m 11d Posted 27/04/04 05:33 AM Author Share Posted 27/04/04 05:33 AM Wow. Has there been a price increase? My understanding was the p2 was approx. $5650 and p3 was around $9650. Are those prices just for the phase kit or do they include the valve spring and auto mod (in which case what about the manuals)? Thanks for the clarification.Chris. Sorry cdm, my typo...fixed now. Thanks for pointing this out. Cheers, Dr Z.

Dr Z Member 378 Member For: 20y 10m 11d Posted 03/05/04 09:29 PM Author Share Posted 03/05/04 09:29 PM I prepared a spreadsheet with performance comparisons for cars in the $30,000-$60,000 price bracket using information from Wheels and Motor magazines. I have referenced the location of which issue each of those cars are listed so you can check back issues for more information abut each of the cars. If anyone doubts the claim that the modified T, is one of the best "bang for your buck" performance cars on this planet, yes even against a $620,000 Lamborghini used as a benchmark comparison, then you should check out this spreadsheet! Feel free to use this spreadsheet any way you wish. Feel free to pass it to any of your friends considering the purchase of a car in this price bracket, and/or anyone seriously interested in modifying their cars and they want to compare the value of their performance boosts in terms of power, torque, and acceleration measured over 0-100km/hr and 0-400m. Note, that I have used the APS Phase I, II and III kits to illustrate the "bang for your buck" value of a modified Ford Falcon XR6 Turbo, though you could quite easily substitute your own preferred kit modifications if you wish. How do you get a copy of this spreadsheet?Feel free to email me at coc_oz@hotmail.com, identifying who you are and that you would like a copy of this spreadsheet, and I would be delighted to send it to you. It is free and the usual disclaimer about errors apply. It is Version 1.02 and will be updated over time as new information becomes available. All I ask is that you acknowledge the original author of this spreadsheet, me, and that you leave my email contact details on this spreadsheet so that I may help anyone with any questions and can update the spreadsheet after receiving comments/requests from others. The more you share this spreadsheet around the more people may become aware of how amazingly good value the T is in comparison to other cars. Safe and happy driving...Dr Z.
