At a guess I would say:a) because the airbags in the cop car may go offb) good chance the dickhead trying to get away would probably sue the state and actually win. Mad world... But honestly, why would I want to? Even if the guy has commited a serious indictable offence, do I want to risk burning in a prang and not going home at night to catch him? Uh Uh. Australian police cars aren't fitted with the gear, so I wouldn't do it. There's too much risk in driving at the speeds we do anyway, and I'm one of the fast drivers at work!Getting back ON topic, tonight I drove one of the cars this thread was started about. I had forgotten how bloody HORNY the XR8 sounded . Still, even with 20,000kms on the clock, and all this talk of boss motors needing to be run in, it simply did not have the raw buzz that planting the foot in the T gives. Stunned by the engine roar at 4,000 rpm though...
