Complain to your dealer, all of you that are paying oner $200. For Farks sake, they are only changing the oil and the filter, and checking over the car for a few other fliud levels and the like.

I go to Klosters in Cardiff, and the guys use the top Shell oil, and do a great job, report on pad use and do a wheel rotate for $160. That was for my 15 and 30k services. that's for an individual, not fleet or other rubbish. I did get quoted up to $200 at the other places on the Central Coast, so I went north.

Don't put up with rubbish service like that. BTW, Klosters have an ACE reputation with any company or person that I have asked.

I know exactly what you mean. When I had my Commodore (OK,OK..I know) the dealer charged me $15 to take it for a test run :gooff: . To go and get their lunch more like it. That (50k) service cost me nearly $300!! I said to the girl that I own three 8 tonne trucks and I could have serviced 2 of them for that price. This is a dealer in Newcastle city. They even replaced my wiper blades at a cost of $15 that I replaced not 3 months before. They charged me for an air filter that they didn't replace. Nothing I said to the service manager would convince him that they made a mistake. :crybaby:

With my T, I will be telling them what I WANT done, not what they think I NEED done. Its your choice.

Have a great day

I just had the oil changed at ~7,500km

I took it to my local mechanic around the corner. I provided the oil, so I know exactly what went in it. He provided the filter and labour and disposal of old oil etc.

Cost me $37 (I think) Plus another $35 for 10l of GTX3. He gave me back the left over 3 litres.

Plus while my wife was picking the car up she arranged for our son to do his school work experience there.

15K Service was $185 including a stack of warranty fixup / checks. Mines a lease too, so I didn't get the bill, just signed it and checked it over.

I think even $185 is expensive for an oil change.... maybe 15 minutes work plus maybe another 15 minutes max. in checks. Local mechanic does the same on my out of warranty Falcon for $90???

I guess the dealer has a very flash workshop to pay for....

Anyone had 15k service done at Power Ford Castle Hill. Mines due soon. How much did you pay?

I think that they are jokers! I will definately not use them even though they are in my local area.

tongue boy,

I used the Hamilton workshop once, and they weren't exactly what I would call good guys, but minimal complaints. Just an issue with some finnicky stuff that I had requested. Something like this. They have a 24hr workshop in there, or similar.

Dropped the car off at 6.30pm.

Dealer: So we'll see you at about 8 in the morning.

me; No, I'll be back in two hours.

Dealer: Urrrmmm, we can't have your car done by then.

Me: WTF? I drove up here from the CC, after specifically requesting you fix this warranty issue I explained to the call centre that I will be up here for the evening only, and I am not staying here. So unless you have a loan car to get me and my family home, have the car done in two hours.

Dealer: Ummmm, we'll do our best.

End: I left the workshop at 9.30pm.

I have been to Cardiff for both the 15 and 30 k services, and they always accomodate me because I drive up from the Central Coast, and due to other un-Ford related issues, will not use ELN Ford out of principle. I am extremely impressed with the guys out at Cardiff, and I am just waiting for my new diff to come in so it can be replaced...
