What a great day, everything turned out perfectly.

The track, the weather, the people it was all good.

Highlights for me were.

1. Everybody turned up & was on time.

2. Everybody got on really well and now I think we have a better appreciation of each others cars.

3. Watching everbody get PB's on the day, how good is that!

4. Criso's 10.5 @ 131mph

5. Putting vxcalaiszzz monster down the track. After backing of twice to get traction & breaking a blower belt I still did 12.8 @112mph..What a beast!!

6. Me running 5 consecutive PB's best one being 12.70 @ 107.5mph

best mph = 107.8 best 60' = 1.78

I hope that this was the first of many days like this. It was only possible because we had good people from both camps to support such days.

A big thanks to all the LS1 & Ford guys you made the day!

Oh and Cro were you dreaming of drag racing last night?

I think we now have a few more converts from both camps. drag racing is fun, safe and not as easy as it looks.

Julian, thanks for the stiff competition mate, its always a bit of a worry watching your opponent making a charge for the finish line out of the corner of my eye.

Your car ran 111mph, you have more in it, I think if you perfect your launch you will easily better a 12.7

I think that it was proven yesterday just how fast our family cars & utes are, and what sort of potential they have. Look at your MPH rather than your ET, that is a true indicator of power.

Big thanks to Ducatijb for all your help and support in making this happen.

Thanks Guys!!!!! :birthdaywish::whistle:

I think we all were mate

Thanks for organising such a great day and cant wait for the next one. :glad:

Congrats to JB in his new found love, PSI for his STOCK 13.8, and all the consequtive (spelling?) PB's 6six6 ran :)

I was a bit dissapointed, best was 14.3 on 39PSI rear tyres, let them down to 25PSI and the next (last) 3 runs were 14.4.

Worst was my first one 14.8 when I hit the rev limiter in first-second.

Hopefully I'd get better times after my new tranny goes in :D

It was also great to meet up with the LS1 boys :glad:

a few pics here

http://www.pbase.com/forrests/wsid_220504

was difficult to get pics of the action lining up all day.

Was great to meet everyone, and blown away to see some people running int he 12's, awsome.

Can anyone tell me what brand/model the wheels are on the black xr6t in the first pic. Look like 19"s to me and are absolute stunners.

Matt.
