Should take it up to Heathcote and wipe the smiles off the habibi's faces :spoton:

I would like to have gone to Heathcote but I have to work this Sat-Sun-Mon-Tue. It would have been a great experience.

PS Don't forget to change your sig after you run at Calder.

sharkey.

I hope I need to, I'm hoping for a mid to high 12. If I don't have to change my sig I'll be dissapointed.

Hi Geea,

Thanks for all the good information ... where abouts did you purchase your Bosch fuel injectors part # 0209 155968 from? Do they have any more left?

They are so hard to get a hold off, am quite amazed you found some in Australia :spit:

Hey IM2QIK, I had sourced the injectors myself through friends at a better price than I payed, the only problem, was it was going to be about a 2 month wait. I couldn't hadle another wait. Amberley was able to get them for me ( I think that Amberley get them from Germany). When I booked the car in Ian had just taken delivery of 12 of the injectors which I had in my hand briefly. I have 6 of these 12 in my car I'm noy sure about the other 6.

If you give Ian a ring at Amberley I'm sure he will tell you there availablity.

Well done Geea.

You've shown you can make good power without spending big money.

By the way what fuel pump did you use!

In tank, or in-line? fyi I used a Walbro direct replacement 550HP (cost around $350).

Thanks for sharing this information.

Maybe we need a special forum where members write-up about their cars.

I'm not exactly sure Brian on the brand but I will try to find out. It cost $398 so it could be similar.

I do know that it replaced the existing fuel pump, that would be in the tank I think. I know it replaced it cause I got the old one in the garage.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys.

xr6ikness, I'm running 10psi at the moment.

Ktford, if I go for the bigger intercooler I'm going to get the bigger valve springs then. I have been following your valve spring thread and was waiting till you finished your testing to find what you thought was the best option.

The weather looks good for Friday night so hopefully I can get to Calder and get some 1/4 mile times for some real world comparisons.

Geea.

Geea,

Xr8's have a spring that'll do the trick, retain your original caps n coletts. Around Trade $8.10 X 24. They will give you around 157psi with the valve open. Wack 'em in & screw her up to 13 pound, yeah baby. A member has ordered a set but there is a wait as he has only been supplied with 8 thus far.

Geea

Mate mods sound great , your beast seems to be making good power too.As you already know Valve springs are a must do at this level.

When all said and done very cost effective.

Good luck at Calder

Just back from Calder. I had a best of 12.885 @ 111.87mph.

I have started a thread on the night so have a read of that for all the details.
