Can someone even give a ballpark figure for how much the valve springs are by themselves, without any labour??

Im gathering we are probly paying alot more in labour then what the valves are even worth??

Im guessing around 350 for the springs???

ANd rest in labour??

Or am I way off?

The valve spring cost depends on what spring you utilise, a decent quality spring is approx $12 per spring ($300 per set of 24 springs).

To install the springs with the engine in the car is approx a 7 to 7.5 man-hour job.

you could always use XR8 springs, about $210 a set but there's a delay on them to.

Do the XR8 springs fit straight in, Scotty? How long would it take a decent workshop to fit a set of springs?

Geea.

Yes G man,

they fit straight in, will give you 155 pound open & 54 shut, how long to fit them. Maybe half day, can be done whilst on the car. Goldie has his, chat to him & he'll keep you informed as to how long

300 bucks, within my price range atm, suppose ill just sit out and wait for the aps ones.

I thought the xr8 ones needed trimming of some sought?

No it's the GT springs (like BCL has) that require head removal & machining work, the XR8 springs will do fine & are cheaper?
