I let few good friends drive it on few occasions. It's just a car after all but as someone already said "You crash it, you buy it".

Since my T is the "family" car and I ride a motorbike to work every day, it's mostly driven by my wife.

I don't normally get "into" cars, but with my T something weird has happened:

  • I hate how she gets to drive it every day
  • I don't want her driving it because I want it to be "mine"
  • I will think of ANYTHING for a reason to go for a drive
  • I'm constantly cleaning it
  • It's fulfilled a desire to own an XR falcon I'd forgotten I had
  • All is forgiven from the XF-Fairmont Ghia I owned that was my dream car but destroyed my faith in Ford
  • I want to lick the 6-speed auto gearbox, it's THAT good
  • I've never driven a car so smooth, quiet, fast, and nimble
  • I try to keep the fuel economy decent but I just can't resist nailing it in first gear
  • Nailing it in first gear always results with me going "Yeahhh!!"
  • I think I'm obsessed!
  • I love this car more than any vehicle I've ever owned, including my bike

And there's something wrong with that? :roflmbo:

I don't like getting obsessed by things! It makes me all jealous and emotional when I shouldn't be. Normally I get excited by stuff and then get over it in a couple of weeks. With this car, it's been three months of STILL grinning like a cheshire cat.

What am I gonna do in 3 years when the lease is up and there are new turbo's to choose from? Will I have been obsessing over the Orion since 2008 because they are even more cool? Will I have an argument with myself over buying the last of the 4.0 litre sixes or will I jump for a Duratec V6 turbo?

Why am I even thinking about these things?!

Myself and sometimes my girlfriend but she is a lead foot and a few advance driver training courses so she can handle sideways motion.

I let one of my mates have a drive when mine only had 400 odd rwkw's - not the power it has now, he drove down the road, gave it a bootful in 2nd, promptly pulled over to the side of the road and gave the keys back to me and said "fark that!"
