Guest MrSparkle Guests Posted 20/02/03 11:15 PM Share Posted 20/02/03 11:15 PM In a special Motor magazine article a few months back, detailing the development of the turbo engine, it was commented that FPV tried a number of turbos including the 35, and found it to be insufficient. ie. they tested and rejected the 35. A GT35 size turbo can only flow enough for about 500hp regardless of what trim compressor is used or housing A/R ratio. 240kw = ~320hpWho the hell needs 500+hp! I drive one regularly with good fuel economy and complete drivability. If you thrash it at 250rwhp or 500rwhp it still guzzles fuel. Its just at 500rwhp you need racing compound rubber to get moving and the main cost are rear tyres needing replacement more often. Otherwise it cost the same to run as my stock EA Falcoon. There are few T s with 330+rwkws not sure what it is in hp (440?) and they are totally street drivable and mine uses less fuel now than when it was standard. Things have come a long way.Cheers
