I think I touched on this subject on another thread but drew no response.

Anyone have thoughts on how soon to start applying polish and wax to their pride and joy in the shed?

Of course being the owner of a black one, I'm especially keen on this topic, as is my physician, as my enflamed elbows are starting to become a problem.... :D

I have a snoot full of Maguires for the washing and interior but rather afraid to start on the polishing in case I stuff the paintwork (I.e. swirlmarks). She is not too bad at the moment for marks in the paintwork and I'd like to keep it that way.

off topic quickly - isn't this thing just the most fun you can have sitting down?? Its absolutely true what the Ford guys said before the release of the BA that its a drivers car that you just want to keep driving. The other night (warmish), we'd been to the flicks and on the drive home I went waaayyyy off course.... :P

Hi PuffNStuff,

I will do the following the same day I get my baby

1: Apply a polish

2: Scotch guard all the carpets.

3: Have her tinted

Polish: Have used McQuires for years and think the product is excellent however the market, is always changing and I am doing some research

Scotchguard: Grace Bros brand only and if you read the distructions details, it really works

Tint: My Nephews mate is doing a special job for me. Yes, I trust him or :auto:

Hope this helps
