I did ask about that. The answer I received which also answered a few other questions was "we'll have to wait and see".

Info from a reliable source told me that the F6 has a fully remapped ecu to adjust boost to 10psi and has the same cut out re-programed but at a higher value to limit torque. Don't quote me on this but I'm sure he said it was getting the 8's gearbox.

According to the F6 specs sheet peak boost is 0.6 bar (8.70 PSI).

Mmmm yes I see your point there. But I don't know whether you could get that much torque increase with just some intake mods and only that smaller boost increase. Could be true though.

With the F6 using the standard injectors it wouldn't be able to run more than about 8psi. Maybe peter could explain how they could get the extra 100nm torque with only 3okw extra.

I think you'll find that the F6's power is LIMITED to 270kW, as stated somewhere (can't remember) from FPV. So unleash its power outlet, and Bob's your uncle. Say for the all-new Falcon, they just have to release the power a bit more, and you've got a faster car. No need to do much work......

The Typhoon also has independent control over both camshafts, wheras the the XR6T can only alter the cam timing of both camshafts together. that's probably a big reason why the F6 has more low down torque.

The first F6 motors made were manual only. This must prove the theory that the 6 speed auto won't be ready until later next year.
