If the F6 gets the new Gearbox, then the whole range will.

I VERY much doubt that the F6 will get a new box by itself, If they did that then they may aswell start parking GT/GTPs on the lot with the keys in the ignition waiting to be stolen.

There'll always be a huge number of people who buy V8's for that reason only, to hear that rumble.

Well if they're not gonna bother testing/evaluating a new gearbox then the F6 will probably get the same gearbox the XR8/GT has now. Considering it has more power than an XR8 I don't think they'll give it the T5, especially not in an FPV vehicle.

True Scotty. I'm not about to forget I love V8's because of a new gearbox in the F6. I prefer manuals and don't want a 6spd one.

If heard that the F6 will be manual only, I dont know how reliable this is. :ermm: I dont think they can use the boxes out of the 8's cause of the different housing's, maybe someone with a bit of mechanical knowledge can confirm or deny this. :pooh:

Off topic a bit

Genebaby...who is that chick...she is gorgeous!!

Secondly...Abuser of Charvels?? I thought a KISS nut like me would have a Les Paul because Ace is God !!

In regards to the Series 2, why do Ford and GM persist with this stupid Series 2 crap..

Why buy a Series 1 if you know that within 12 mths there will be a Series 2 and your retained value of your Series 1 will plummet.

It's just stupid.

You don;t see BMW, Mercedes, even the jap companies labelling their upgraded models as a 'Series 1 to 150' etc

Because they know the value of retaining the value of a car.

When I had my Benz it was a 93 model E300 and it looked the same as a 1987 to a 1993l even though the upgrades were significant. The retained value was exceptional!!

Sometimes Ford just don;t get it!

Plonkster, you raise some good points.

Firstly, I have no idea who the chick is, but she has bags till Tuesday and that's good enough for me!!!

Secondly, I do have a Les Paul, thank Ace for that one, and a Flying V too, thank you Mr Stanley. Ace is more of a Demi-God, the other Gods I worship are Randy Rhoads and Warren Demartini. :censored:

I am getting a Les Paul Custom built for me which should rock as well, however Charvels are my bag baby!! I have a Charvel tattoo I love them that much. Most Charvels you see nowadays are nothing like the original US series and a probably in crap condition so they get a bit of a bad rap. They sold the name out and kinda ruined it a bit, sorta like a Series 2 BA!!!!

I hear ya on the series thing. A friend of mine is into Mercs and they have years and years where the car looks and is badged the same, it's cool. Hey, how much does a series 2 badge cost?

I'm a Gibson man through and through

A result of ther first album I ever bought and on the back it said "Kiss uses Gibson guitars and Pearl drums because they want the best"

The album? Kiss Alive

The year? 1976

Current guitars? Gibson Les Paul 1957 Black Beauty Custom - solid mahogony, ebony fingerboard, pearl inlays, gold hardware, '57 Classic hand wound PAF's with the chunky '54 neck

Gibson Flying V in Korina wood with '57 Classic PAFS and the big white scratch plate

Dearly departed - '62 Gibson SG in cherry - stolen from my house back in 1992 along with a 1960 Gibson Les Paul Junior double cutaway and a 1972 Gibson Les Paul Custom in cherry sunburst with three humbuckers

Sorely missed and I hope the vengeance of Ace Frehley, Jimmy Page and Tony Iommi is reaped upon the thieves forever!

Yeh, the bellhousing is different, I think it's intergral with the rest of the housing, but I'm sure Tremec could cast up a new one to suit the 6cyl. Might need to change the input shaft as well.

On a side note, it's a wonder Dellow or someone else hasn't made an adaptor to mate the V8 box to the 6cyl.

Man it sux to hear about guitars being stolen. Pricks who do that to people should be put into a meat grinder, very slowly!!!

I remember reading those words over and over on the back of the records. Kiss also used Gibson guitars and Pearl drums cause they got free stuff!!

Peter visited the Pearl factory and got an endorsement deal. He's been using DW lately, and Paul uses whatever pays the most at any given moment. Ace is cool cause he always uses nothing but Gibson and would probably do so even if they didn't pay him. Though there was that flirtation with Washburn in the 80's. :censored:

Click on my Black Night link, you can check out my guitars at the moment. I am actually considering selling my Flying V, I don't like the frets on it and don't want to change them.
