Interesting thread but I would like to understand why the manual T kicks out more rwkw than an auto.

the auto absorbs more kw's than the manual-simple as that!

Dynoed xr6t today stock standard came up at 181rwkw (only has 4200km on clock) then put in B.M.C panel filter came up at 186rwkw=gain of 5rwkw.

Call me cynical - but can a filter on its own add 5rwkw?

Has anyone tried doing a dyno test with and without an air filter on a stock car?

ummm, TBO240 did the test on a stocker by the sounds of things, back to back.

For what it's worth, mine also pulled 210rwkw and I've had BMC Panel, second intake (xr8 trumpet and 100mm rubber pipe neck) and Centre muffler chop.

Those mods have been in for 10Mm's (that's 10,000 km)

fitted a aps stage11 cold air induction today supplied by a forum member and dynoed again and got a 193rwkw. so I have got a increase of 12 rwkws 5 for the air filter and another 7 for the cold air intake....that's fairly cheap power.

do you have a dyno figure from standard it would be interesting to compare the gains from both intakes and do you know how much of a gain you got from removing the centre muffler.

what part of the introduction system, of the GT, do you use. e.g is it the air filter box, and does K and N make air filters for the T yet?
