Before that with a UNICHIP it went like stink, chopped the centre muffler out and it taught itself to run 25rwkw less, with all the mechanical genius's in WA trying their best, in the final analysis the only way to fix it was to take it back to standard and trade it in @ 13000 klm

Sounds like you are getting about the right power inreases in a manual ( seems like a pretty good read)BTW dont stop now ............... go hard or go home go and test drive a kitted car,I am sure that you will see the light WT

We have tuned many xr6t's with the centre muffler removed and with aftermarket exhaust shop exhaust systems and not experienced any problem at all. I cant understand why there could be any problem tuning the engine to any type of exhaust system other than the high back pressure caused by a restrictive exhaust. :( PeterAPS
ZAP No boost, no bottle, just my foot on the throttle! Lifetime Members 7,935 Member For: 21y 15d Gender: Male Location: Sydney Posted 06/04/04 12:25 PM Share Posted 06/04/04 12:25 PM if yuo add the xr8 cold air (or ss) and the BMC panel the ecu will not be able to stop the additional airflow as this is a phyical change. I would be very suprised if the ecu could reverse this type of mod. It is the first mod I plan on doing
