I'm keen on turbo Ford sixes as I have a 4.1 EFI ZL with T03 and intercooler - I waited for years for Ford to do a turbo but the closest they got previously was the Dick Johnson effort back in about '83 - in the end I just decided to build my own.

Really expecting good things from the XR6-T and have booked a test drive at my local dealer.

I am possibly in the market for a ute.

Still lookin' :repost:

I think he's waiting for one of them new fandangled auto's. The current ones are so hard to use, I mean, there's probably too many choices there as it is for poor old jeff :nono:

Well .... after my son bought one and I got to play around with it for a bit, and also after seeing the early problems they were having I decided to not make a decision on it for a while.

After the BA II came out and the teething problems were still not sorted to my satisfaction (yeah, I'm a fussy bugger) I decided to just build up an XF ute with all the gear out of the Fairlane - they're both still sitting in the shed - I'm just having too much fun driving the T3 and I'm not really missing the turbo rush at all - yet -

I'll get onto it one day. I still have the Capri to do up ... and the LTD needs some TLC as well ... oh, and then there's the Beetle waiting to be done as well. Seems like the Escort is going to have to wait a while for it's new dash and door trims ... :smilielol:

Ooooo ... not bad .... now what's the R for? Oh, I know ... race ... let's try it next shall we ... Ooops! ... BUGGER. Better get home now and dig out that spare manual box I had in the back of the garage somewhere???

I just happened to visit Surfside Ford on the Goldcoast - they've got one XR6 Turbo left - November build which I assume means a December arrival.  They said after that there will be a 3 month waiting list.

I wasn't planning to put any money down until December so looks like I'll have to wait until March next year before I get one.

Have you tried Sunshine Ford, they had a few the last time I went past, includind a heap of Tornado's.

Mine is due on 29th October but it was ordered about a month ago. I can't wait and will keep reading everything written until I get it. I'm only hoping the clip thing won't delay delivery. Another guy at work was supposed to pick up a Ghia on Tuesday but that has been put until next Thursday because of the clip recall.

Thanks for setting up this site I can't get enough XR6T talk.

What's this Clip thing !
