Howdy doody. Just wondering if anyone has bought from St. George Tyres before. I'm on the hunt for Nitto Invo 245/35/19's, and the usually popular/reputable Taleb Tyres are currently not stocking them, forcing me to look elsewhere with needing these new boots before the fast-approaching roadworthy comes up. Surprisingly they seem to stock them at a cheaper price (a set of four plus shipping = $897 - pretty good for me in a town in the middle of nowhere), but I'm wondering if anyone's used them before I pull the trigger on this. Good? Bad? Meh? Anyone who has purchased from this mob before and can tell me anything would be greatly appreciated. Edit: I should just ask if these will be fine on a BF Typhoon running stock Twisties. Cheers again.

Hello all, I'm new to the forum and also to performance turbo in general ... I've just had my G6E Turbo modified, and I'm now getting 305rwkw out of it ... Which leads me to my question, which I'm sure is pretty elementary to most of you, but it's something I want to fix quickly. I'm having major problems getting my power down to the road. When I accelerate from a standing start, I just light up the Tyres ... As a result my 0-100 is much slower than before my power boost. Here are my vital statistics: - stock G6E Suspension - stock open diff - currently running 265/35R19 Michelin Pilot Super Sport on the rear The Tyres don't have much left on them ... Maybe 15 - 20%. Would my traction problems be mostly due to my tyre tread being a little low ... Or am I exceeding the capability of the Michelin's with the stock open diff? ... I see three options: 1. New Michelin's to give me more tread 2. Moving to even wider tyres ... Possibly 295's 3. Needing to invest in an LSD Option 1 is the most attractive from a cost point of view and also because I've already increased from the standard 245's to 265's in the name of traction. What are your thoughts?? ... I want to start posting some respectable 0 - 100 times. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Coatesy.

I'm just curious and I've done a bit of searching and turned up nothing that is very descriptive. Some tyres (not all) seem to have an grip rating advertised with them. I haven't actually checked mine but a mates Achilles (Tread wear 400) tyres have an A++ Grip rating and recently while researching tyres (tread wear 240) I was looking at some that advertised a AA grip rating. So the question: What the hell is the grip rating? How do they determine the grip rating of a particular tyre? And what does it actually mean to us who purchase the tyres? Cheers,
