Has anyone got any photos of custom work they have done; so not using the NIZPRO, Plazmaman or process west kits? Talking with my mechanic the other the and got us thinking about improving efficiency with low cost. My mechanic has a full workshop and experienced fab/machinist. My idea was to buy a 2nd hand manifold, to attempt to cut the casting around the TB inside the bolts (which hold the upper/lower sections together) and effectively flipping the TB around. This would then reduce the piping from TB to the stock FPV intercooler in my Tornado. Obviously this would only work with a cold air and battery relocation also. Any suggestions or ideas? This is to get around spending 1k or so on an FG manifold.A question I have though is 'how close does the TB need to be to the manifold?' The TB relocation kits from process west have a bend out of the manifold inlet, then the TB followed by piping. The reason I ask is, if we successfully flip the TB, a bend straight out of the TB may foul on the ECU, so thinking about the Process west relocation kit, to resolve this may have a bend straight out of the manifold inlet and the TB further down (like the process west kit but the TB flipped around - theoretically speaking). Pics for reference. image image trying to work around doing this with the TB to cooler piping image
