I have a GU Patrol with a Barra Turbo swap. Its FG gas bottom and BF head. Got a few things done making 400rwhp running about 20psi. My issue is that when you realy put the boot into it in 2nd gear at around 3500-4000 it looses all power instantly, if you let off it kicks back in. Its backfires and makes some horrible noises when it happens. Only happens in 2nd. Already replaced plugs and coilpacks. It has to be either fuel or boost cut just dont know why its happening or how to stop it. Cheers for any help.

BA Xr6 Turbo, bought 1 month ago, 180,000km, been running great until yesterday. Starts fine and runs normally on light throttle but bogs down when I try to accelerate. Any ideas?

Hello all! (Just a bit of background info to set the scene) I have recently purchased a 2005 ba xr6 turbo. I opt for the 3 year used car "sentinal" warrany. came in handy immediatly when I got rear bushes replaced, and currently booked in for a clunk in the drive train (thinking drive shaft for diff?) Anyway, when it went in for the bushes I had them clean the throttle body after seeing on this forum it was a possible cause of engine idle problems, it fixed it and all went well. But after getting my car back a new problem has started When giving it a bit of power off the lights or to overtake, up to around 4000rpm or above and changing gears, it will accelerate for less than half a second, then back off for a second or so, before restoring power... Car is stock standard 6 speed bar a blow off valve it came with from previous owner, 108,000kms. would this possibly be coil packs? leads and plugs? or boost issue? My warranty wont let me take it to ford for diagnostics so im worried a small mechanic outfit will end up just guessing and putting parts on until its fixed. ideas? thanks!

HI guys I recently changed my 5 speed manual to a 6 speed mal wood tranny. the car was driving the same as it was before I change the tranny for about 200km. I activated cruise control in 6th gear it hesitaded and was spurting abit then about a km down the road it sputterd again and felt like I lost feeling in the thottle (it felt lightier under foot) and the car was reving higher with less power output. It also feels like I have very little off boost power and and it doesnt hit boost as hard as it did. It used to feel alot sronged off boost and really through me back in my seat when boost came on but it doesnt now it just feels sluggish. the car has been tuned since but the problem is still there (flash x3). It is as if I have lost power throughout the whole rev range. I dont know if the cruize control would have affected the tuning or it is something mechanical. any ideas? I hate driving it now haha.
