Thinking about replacing my NA Ba xr6 front bumper with an fg style one, already has a boss hood and a bobtail. My mates think its ricey to swap parts between the different models but I think it's tasteful. Honest opinions please

Hey guys got a bit of weird problem here and I cant seem to find much on this page about it at all or in general. So I have a 2011 ZF NA fg xr6 and Im having a weird issue when I am coming into a stop the car struggles to almost find its idle point and it will rev up and down and fluctuate until its fully stopped. The issue is inconsistent as it wont do it all the time and its only happening when coming into a stop/rolling to a stop at low speeds/gear. Once stopped the car finds its idle and is fine doesnt dip up or down and its driving me insane. I have noticed since this issue began my car has been using a lot more fuel than normal and its been an ongoing issue for the past 2 months whether or not that's related to it. The car drives fine up in the top end, doesnt loose power or anything like so and in genral is fine in that regard. I have replaced numerous parts and nothings fixed it and for the life of me I cannot find a vacc leak. I've replaced things such as, throttle body, o2 sensor, Fuel pressure reg, maf sensor, pcv, battery, even the thermo stat as it needed to be done, even did spark plugs and fuel filter 10,000 kms ago and nothings fixed it and I do not want to keep throwing parts at it. I've had it at ford twice and they keep incorrectly diagnosing the issue as cant seem to find why its doing after I have done whats listed above. So any help or pointers in this regard would be so helpful as like I said its driving me insane. I also do have videos of it doing it if needed as it isnt the easiest thing to explain! Cheers Fellas!

I was talking to a mate about the different types of Barras and he was saying something about naturally aspirated motors are weaker then the turbo variants. just wanted to see if this was true at all and if it is what’s the difference between the two

Hi guys, ive recently purchased a 2009 FG XR6 in dash green, and I am wondering whether a catback exhaust system is worth it, and will I have any issues from the police as a p plater. I was thinking of purchasing this exhaust (https://www.deaperformance.com.au/p/Store-Wide-Sale-Excluding-XForce/Falcon-FG-XR6-Sedan-2.5-Inch-Catback-Exhaust-Syste/ST219HD-246D-TIPS) , and I am wondering whether it is legal for p platers as it is illegal to have performance enhancing mods, and I don't know whether the police consider it is a performance modification, due to it not actually being an engine mod and wont do anything but make the car sound a bit better. if that's not a good exhaust could you recommend any others. Thanks.

I have a BF XR6 and the motor is in very bad shape. I have a greenhead gas Barra that I pulled out of a BF, if I ran that on petrol, would it be slower?? Or faster??? I know the gas Barra has higher compression but with the more heavy duty rods will my power output be less? And no I can’t turbo it because I’m on my Ps lol.

What’s needed to change rocker cover on an na ba to the fg one? I’m told I’ll have to change either coils to fg ones or use something to keep the coils down from poping off while under load with the stock ba/bf coils and I’ll need to change the manifold? Thanks in advance -
Hey guys first time posting been researching into an XR6 turbo conversion for about 6 months or so and I've decided to go ahead with the project but have run into some issues/questions that need addressing before I mindlessly slap sh*t on an N/A motor expecting everything to be rainbows and roses. Currently I've bought - FG F6 intake manifold - Fuel rail - FPR - F6 Injectors - Throttle body - Map sensor - GT3576 - Intercooler and all piping including cross over and throttle body pipe I still need a fg exhaust manifold and dump pipe but is there anything else I need to get ? I'm quite certain I'm missing some parts that I've seemed to skip over. what I'd also like to know is there are some vacuum lines on the intake manifold I'm not sure about. I do know one of the hoses is connected to the brake booster but I don't know what the other 2 vacuum lines are for. One being next to the brake booster vacuum line and the other being on the opposite side of where the map sensor is. If anyone could at least help me with one of these questions that would be awesome. Cheers

HEY GUYS! love this site. Well im new and im new to ford, just bought a brand new xr6 2012 mkII 6 speed manual sedan for $33 500, 21kms on it straight out of factory.. Its fast, but im noticing it stutters, like it wants to go harder but the mods it got are limiting it, now I dont know anything about fords, im skyline fan. lol But what should I get for it? I heard K&N fliters and cold air intake, new exhast 2.5 cat back, a tune and I was told a underpully doesnt do anything :S and that's all I know. Any ideas? im all ears and I want to learn this car I got the cash easy blow 20k on it lol fcking love it so fcking much. Kinitic Blue paint. By the way cuz its new, if I mod it, will the warrianty get voided? Thanks guys!!! P plater by the way...
